摘　　要：2019年是《国际城市规划》创刊40周年。文章第一部分从四个时间段系统回顾和总结了期刊40年发展的主要动力、目标、内容进展及相关组织和平台建设,认为《国际城市规划》已成长为中国最具影响力的城市规划学术期刊之一,是中国城市规划工作者与学人们非常喜爱的一份必读刊物,为推动中国城市规划事业与学科的发展作出了巨大、基础性的贡献。文章第二部分系统总结了期刊40年,主要是近10年来的办刊经验,它是本刊良性可持续发展的经验,也为其他期刊的发展提供借鉴。This is a review on the history of Urban Planning International(UPI),at the time of its 40th anniversary.The paper reflects and summarizes the primary missions and goals of UPI,as well as its efforts on the content creation and organizational development over the last 40 years.UPI has become one of the most influential academic journals in the Chinese urban planning field,and it has been recognized as an irreplaceable reading material among Chinese planning researchers and practitioners.As the only Chinese professional platform that has been particularly supporting the knowledge exchange on international urban planning theories,policies,and technologies,UPI has profoundly contributed to the advancement of China’s urban and regional planning field,dating back to China’s reforms and opening-up.With an expectation to inspire the sustainable growth of UPI and all the other journals,the paper is ended by reviewing some crucial lessons and experiences that UPI has cumulated from its daily works throughout its history,especially in the last decade.
