摘　　要：改革开放40年来,中国的西方史学史学科建设取得了长足的进步,这是与张广智等一批学者持续不断并富有创造性的努力分不开的。张广智继承老一辈学者的未竟事业主持编撰的《西方史学史》连续出版四版,成为国家级规划教材被各高校广泛使用。他主持编纂的《西方史学通史》是国内学者编写的第一部大型西方史学通史专著。他为各高校培养了一批高水平的西方史学史专门人才,他在史学理论、西方史学史以及西方马克思主义史学、中外史学交流方面论著颇丰。值得研究的是,在长期实践过程中,他以唯物史观为指导,形成了自己考察西方史学的“中国眼光”和论述西方史学的独特的个人风格,这是他对中国的西方史学史学科建设的特殊贡献。Over the past forty years of the Reformation and Opening-up era,the Chinese discipline of studies of western historiography has gained tremendous development.Such achievement is inseparable from the continuous and creative efforts made by scholars such as Zhang Guangzhi.Resuming work from older generations,Professor Zhang served as chief editor of compiling Western Historiography,a monograph planned as a national textbook.This book is now in its fourth edition,and is widely adopted at colleges and universities.He also presided over the compilation of The General History of Western Historiography that is the first large-scale monograph on the general history of western historiography compiled by scholars in China.Additionally,he has not only trained a number of high-qualified professionals but also published many works on the theory of history,western historiography,western Marxist historiography,and the exchanges between Chinese and foreign historiographies.It is significant to point out that in his life-long studies,Zhang always follows the guidance of historical materialism,and that,in doing so,he has formed his own“Chinese Perspective”on and unique personal style of studies of western historiography,which is his special contribution to the development of the Chinese discipline of studies of Western historiography.
