摘　　要：从基督教泛及英伦到新教与天主教的猛烈厮杀,原罪与救赎都成为人们十分关注的问题,英国朝圣文学由此而生。尽管时代变迁,岁月久远,原罪与救赎的阴影依然在人们头顶徘徊,而以“在路上”为核心的朝圣文学一直延伸到当代。新的社会问题,新的人生困惑,使得英国的朝圣文学呈现出新的趋势,即朝圣目的的泛化与深入,朝圣者从群体走向个体,朝圣地从实址走向虚址。The literature about the stories of pilgrimage is derived from people’s focus on original sin and redemption when Christianity prevails in UK and even serious conflict happens between Protestant and Catholic.This core characteristic of pilgrimage literature is“on the road”that is never fading away.The shadow of original sin and redemption lingers in our minds no matter what times it is.With the emerging of new social issues and baffles in our lives,this kind of literature takes on a new look which is not as much meaningful in religious commitment as in realistic lives.
