堕落女性形象的双重书写:从《亚当·比德》对《荆棘》的逆写说开去

摘　　要：乔治·爱略特深受威廉·华兹华斯的影响。吉尔伯特和苏珊·古芭认为爱略特的小说《亚当·比德》中堕落女性角色赫蒂·索蕾尔是对华兹华斯《荆棘》中玛莎·蕾形象的重写。事实上,赫蒂·索蕾尔不仅是对玛莎·蕾的重写,更是逆写。这一重写和逆写构成对堕落女性形象的双重书写,不仅体现在文本之内,也延伸到文本之外,既构成文本之间的互文,又建立起文本与社会现实的交织。堕落女性形象在这交织书写之中展示了性别政治的复杂性和多维性。George Eliot is greatly influenced by William Wordsworth.S.M Gilbert and Susan Gubar think that George Eliot rewrites Wordsworth's fallen woman character-Martha Ray in her novel Adam Bede.As a matter of fact,Eliot not only rewrites Martha Ray but also reverses Wordsworth's construction of Martha Ray as a fallen woman.Eliot's reverse of Wordsworth's construction of Martha Ray sets up a double writing of the fallen woman character,which extends beyond the texts and enables an interaction between fiction and reality,texts and history.In the process,the complexity of the sexual politics of the fallen women is revealed and explored.
