摘  要:陶元庆作为中国近代装帧史上的重要个案,体现出20世纪20年代中国书籍装帧群体的基本创作状态。作为画家的陶元庆,在书籍装帧领域的活动实践,反映了在职业化初期,画家与设计师在身份上的二位一体;受传统思想影响,面对"画家"与"设计师"两重身份的取舍时,陶元庆为自然倾向"画家"身份。可见,20世纪20年代以陶元庆为代表的封面画家群体,由于缺乏基本的职业服务精神,其本质还是设计师外表包裹下的画家。Tao Yuanqing was an important representative in the history of modern Chinese book decoration,reflecting the basic creation status of Chinese book cover artists in the 1920s.Tao Yuanqing was a painter,but in the practice of book cover decoration,he was also a designer,so it can be seen that in the initial stage of his occupation,he had double identities.However,influenced by traditional ideas,Tao Yuanqing were more inclined to choose his identity as the painter.Therefore,the book cover artists in the 1920s,with Tao Yuanqing as a representative,should be regarded more as painters than designers,due to their lack of basic professionalism.
