“哎咦集团”与“文化民族主义”——亚裔美国文学之早期文化身份批评  

"The Aiiieeeee Group" and Cultural Nationalism——A Study on the Early Cultural Identity Criticism in Asian American Literature

摘　　要：通过梳理亚裔美国文学之文化身份批评的早期理论代表"哎咦集团"的主要文学主张及批评行为,发现其文化民族主义的指涉对象并非学界惯常误解的中国文化,而是隐藏着一个"民族主义与本土主义的置换",其实质是强调亚裔群体的本土经历和合理合法的本土身份的本土主义。虽然"哎咦集团"对"真确性"的强调陷入了本质主义的窠臼,其"以男性为中心的好战的民族主义情绪"也广受诟病,但"哎咦集团"的文化民族主义主张开拓性地打破了亚裔美国文学批评领域的真空状态,敏锐地察觉到了美国主流社会与亚裔及亚裔文化的刻板化建构的共谋关系,并最终确定了亚裔统一的文化身份,对亚裔美国文学创作及批评领域都做出了难以磨灭的贡献。Tracing the major literary viewpoints and critical behaviors of"the Aiiieeeee Group",the early theoretical representative of cultural identity criticism in Asian American literature,this paper finds that the cultural nationalism of"the Aiiieeeee Group"is targeting at nativism rather than the Chinese culture.With the underlying switch of nationalism and nativism,"the Aiiieeeee Group"actually focuses on the native experience of Asian American ethnic group and the legality of their native identity.Although generally criticized for its essentialism and aggressive masculine nationalism,"the Aiiieeeee Group"has made incomparable contribution to the creation and criticism of Asian American literature by breaking the of vacuum situation in Asian American literary criticism,revealing the collusion between American mainstream society and the stereotyped construction of Asian culture,and constructing the unified cultural identity of Asian Americans.
