泰瑞·弗卢：国家仍是媒介研究的核心维度——制度比较分析中的新自由主义迷思

摘　　要：本文通过深度访谈,对澳大利亚著名传播与媒介研究学者泰瑞·弗卢的学术思想进行梳理与分析,在此基础上探讨媒介制度研究的全球维度与国家维度之间的关系,以及新自由主义作为一个分析框架和一个历史概念在媒介研究中的使用和滥用问题。通过对弗卢的学术思想和研究实践的分析,本文认为,民族国家作为一个基础的分析维度将长期在比较媒介制度研究中占据中心地位,持批判立场的学者在研究实践中应避免将概念简单化的倾向,非欧美国家的媒介与传播学者应当积极参与国际学术交流与合作以提升本土理论的全球能见度。Through in-depth interviews,this article sorts out and analyzes the academic thoughts the famous Australian communication and media research scholar Terry Flew.On this basis,it explores the relationship between the global and the national dimensions of media system research,and the use and abuse of neoliberalism as an analytical framework and a historical concept in media studies.Through the analysis of Flew’s academic thoughts and research practices,this article argues that the nation-state as a basic analytical dimension will occupy a central position in the study of comparative media systems for a long time.Scholars with critical positions should avoid using concepts regardless of its historical and discursive nuances.Media and communication scholars should actively participate in international academic cooperation to enhance the global visibility of local theories.
