摘　　要：立足新中国成立以来经济社会变革的时代背景,结合重要教育政策文本、关键教育事件和现实数据,探寻中国高等院校调整变革的历史脉络具有重要的理论价值与现实意义。70年来,我国高等院校调整经历了以建设单科性院校为主、急躁冒进与急速缩减相继、注重多科性院校发展、推动高校综合化发展、质量与绩效并重五个演进阶段。反思我国高等院校调整变革的历史路径,对于新时代高等院校的区域布局、资源分配、结构优化等具有重要的借鉴意义。Based on the historical background of economic and social change, it’s of significant theorical and practical value to explore the skeleton of the adjustment of colleges and universities using the important educational policy texts, critical educational events and data. During the past 70 years, China colleges and universities has experienced such five periods as dominance of single-disciplinary colleges and univeristies, succession of rush advance and rapid reduction, priority of multi-disciplinary colleges and universities, emphasis of comprehensive construction, and stress on both quality and performance. Reflecting the historical path of the adjustment of colleges and universities, it’s of reference for the regional layout, resource distribution, structure optimization of colleges and universities in the new era.
