摘  要:当前,随着病原菌抗生素耐药性不断增强,开发防控病原菌的新方法是全球面临的主要挑战之一。许多重要的动物病原菌通过"群体感应"作用来调控病原菌毒力。因此,对病原菌的群体感应进行干扰即"群体淬灭",从而开发控制疾病的新疗法已经成为新兴的研究热点。本文综述了病原菌群体感应,群体感应对病原菌致病性和肠道健康影响,以及利用群体淬灭开发药物等方面最近进展。The threat of antibiotic resistant bacteria has called for alternative antimicrobial strategies that would be one of the major challenges we will face.Microbial cells do not live in isolation in their environment,but rather they communicate with each other using chemical signals.Many important animal pathogens regulate virulence by quorum sensing,bacterial cell-to-cell communication with small signal molecules.Consequently,a significant research effort is being undertaken to identify and use quorum sensing inhibitors and quorum quenching enzymes in order to control diseases caused by these pathogens.In this review,an overview of our current knowledge of quorum-sensing systems of Gram-negative model pathogens is presented as well as the link with virulence of these pathogens,and recent advances and challenges in the development of quorum-sensing-interfering therapies are discussed.
