摘　　要：全球视野中,非西方地区无论在国家数量上还是人口数量上,都占多数。然而,西方中心主义意识的统治地位往往导致人们把“全球”等同于西方,甚至纽约、伦敦、巴黎。这种全球文化霸权的另一个表现就是,非西方国家的人们错将西方国家的发展条件与发展轨迹作为国家之间比较的历史“原点”。在这样的语境下,把中国与印度这两个最大的“全球南方”国家放在一起思考和讨论,对于重新认识和定义全球视野,有着历史与现实、理论与实践、特殊与普遍之间的多重意义。本访谈在三位有中国或印度背景的加拿大西门菲莎大学传播学院的校友间展开,整个访谈由相互勾连的三个部分组成,层层推进,以“全球南方”批判学者的身份探讨了知行合一的治学原则,以中印的比较视角回溯了国际社会主义运动的历史脉络,并以重述“全球南方”故事的方式讨论了批判传播学在新世纪所面对的机遇与挑战。Seeing through the lens of the global perspective,non-western world outstrips the West in terms of both the number of nation-states and the scale of populations.However,as a core manifestation of global cultural hegemony,western-centrism quite often leads to the equation of the global with the West or even the symbols of western capitalist modernity-New York,London,Paris,and other global cities-on the one hand,and the false notion of the conditions and trajectories of the West as the historic“ground zero”for inter-state comparison on the other.Under such circumstances,a juxtaposition between China and Indi a-the two largest countries in the Global South-has tremendous implications for revisiting and redefining the“global”in regard to the(dis)continuities between the past and the present,the inseparability of theory and praxis,and the multifaceted tensions between the particular and the universal.This trialogue took place among three SFU-trained scholars coming from China and India respectively.It was structured with three intertwined sections,addressing the complex dynamics between the self-reflexivity of radical intellectuals,the historic trajectories of international socialist movements,and the new challenges and opportunities of critical communication research from a Global South perspective.
