Rapid unimolecular reaction of stabilized Criegee intermediates and implications for atmospheric chemistry

摘  要:Under the support by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,Prof.Long Bo(龙波)at the Guizhou Minzu University and his collaborators(led by Prof.Donald G,Truhlar)at the University of Minnesota have studied an extremely fast mechanistic pathway for the unimolecular reactions of large Criegee intermediates by using very recently developed theoretical methods.The calculated results reveal that these large stabilized Criegee intermediates,which contain five or six carbon atoms including carbonyl groups,have much lower atmospheric oxidation capacity than the small stabilized Criegee intermediates.This work was published in Nature Communications(2019,10:2003).
