摘　　要：With the support by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,the research team led by Prof. Weng Zhi Ping (翁志萍) at the School of Life Sciences and Technology,Tongji University,found that piRNAs were involved in the "innate genome"response to retroviral invasions at germline,which was published in Cell (2019,179:pp. 632-643). This work was done in collaboration with Prof. William Theurkauf’s lab at UMass Medical School and co-founded by the National Institutes of Health in the US.
