Objective To explore the relationship between age and glucocorticoid response in children with non-acute cough. Methods A total of 3824 children with non-acute cough were collected from May 2014 to April 2016 continuously. The levels of exhaled nitric oxide(eNO)and the proportion of glucocorticoid response in children of different ages were analyzed. The differences of age were compared according to different eNO levels in children.Multivariate regression analysis was conducted to assess the risk of glucocorticoid response in children of different ages. Results The total level of eNO was 14(10-25)ppb,and the proportion of children with eNO>35 ppb was 14.2%.There was statistical significance on the differences in age among children with different levels of eNO(P<0.01).Compared with children under 3 years old or over 10 years old,the risk of glucocorticoid response in children aged 4 to 9 years old was significantly lower(P<0.05).Conclusion Age is closely related to eNO level in children with non-acute cough.
