摘　　要：本文面向“中国概况”全英文课程的特点和现状,结合上海电机学院的教学实践,创新教学方法,凝练教学内容,提出该课程在为留学生提供语言辅导和文化帮助之外,应当肩负起讲述中国故事、阐发中国精神、展现中国风貌的重大使命,努力成为中国国际话语权建设的重要载体。Based on teaching practice of"China Overview"course with English in Shanghai Dianji University,this paper pays attention to the features and dilemma of the course,tries to come up with innovation in teaching methods,and summarizes core concepts and issues from teaching materials.What's more,this paper puts forward such suggestion that"China Overview"course should undertake the great mission on telling true story of China,interpreting spirit of Chinese civilization,and displaying Chinese styles,and finally become an important way to establish China's international discourse power,besides the traditional function as a language and culture assistant for foreign students.
