Objective To panalyze the effect of cranioplasty combined with ventriculoperitoneal shunt in treatment of severe craniocerebral injury with skull defect complicated with hydrocephalus. Methods 50 cases of patients with severe craniocerebral injury with skull defect complicated with hydrocephalus and who treated in our hospital from January 2014 to May 2019 were selected as the research subjects, and the patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine staging operation, while the observation group was treated with cranioplasty and ventriculoperitoneal shunt. The complication rate and neurological deficit score were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of complications and neurological deficit scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and there was statistical significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effects of cranioplasty combined with ventriculoperitoneal shunt in treatment of severe craniocerebral injury with skull defect complicated with hydrocephalus are significant, the safety are high, and it is helpful to improve patients’ nervous function, the value of use is high, thus it is worth promoting.
