In this paper,by using the A-level tourist attractions and the traffic data of various grades for five provinces in Northwest China, combining with GIS spatial analysis method and ESDA spatial correlation analysis method,we analyzed the overall and county accessibility of different types of A-level tourist attractions, and also explored its spatial distribution and variation pattern. The results show that:the spatial accessibility of tourist attractions in five provinces is generally better. The area with accessibility within 30 minutes accounted for 76.52%of the study area, mainly distributed in areas with road network traffic and towns. The overall accessibility of county units in five provinces is good, and the number of counties with accessibility within 30 minutes accounted for more than 95%of the total number of counties. There is a very significant accessibility cluster degree in county unit for different types of tourist attraction. The tourist hotspots areas all show a spatial distribution pattern of gradual transition from east to west.Shaanxi province has the best accessibility of tourist attractions, which belong to high accessibility cluster area.On the contrary,Xinjiang and Qinghai province have a poor accessibility of tourist attractions and belong to low accessibility cluster areas.
