摘　　要：《一位女士的画像》(1881)是亨利·詹姆斯文学生涯中的一部重要著作,在19世纪西方经典中占据重要地位。本文从文本的空间意象视角出发,认为小说主人公伊莎贝尔·阿切尔虽然追求不受外部环境限制的自由,但在小说结尾却已经变成了婚姻的囚徒。The Portrait of a Lady(1881)is an important work in Henry James’literary career,occupying an important position in the 19th century Western classics.From the perspective of the spatial imagery of the text,this paper argues that,although the protagonist of the novel,Isabel Archer,pursues freedom from the external environment,he has become a prisoner of marriage at the end of the novel.
