摘  要:宋朝至明朝期间,译者主要聚集于丝路地带、译馆与译经院所在地、文化中心地三个区域。丝路地带往往是多民族佛教文化交汇碰撞地区,民族语佛经译者和汉籍译者因此大量涌现。馆及译经院的原因在于--统治者为创制与推广本族语言文字,高度重视民族语翻译,加之政权巩固与治世所需,提倡翻译儒家经典,民族语译者和儒学译者于是涌现。在当时中西文化交融的背景下,文人志士和外国传教士大量聚集于文化中心地,从事科技翻译,使得这些地方成为科技译者产生的文化土壤。宋朝至明朝三大译者集聚地形成的原因折射出译者分布与地域文化之间的互动关系,地域内异质文化交汇程度越高,译者集聚程度也越高。The translators of Song dynasty and Ming dynasty distributed geographically along three areas,namely,the belts along the Silk Road,the areas abounding with translation organizations,and the areas of cultural centers. The reasons for the translators of the languages of minority Buddhist sutras and Chinese literature gathering in the belts along the Silk Road were due to the collision and blending of the various Buddhist cultures. The reasons for the translators of minority languages and Confucian classics distributing in capital areas with translation organizations was attributed to the sovereign’s policies for popularizing the new ethnic language and consolidating peace and prosperity. Literati of noble aspiration and western missionaries inspired a wave of science translation in the cultural centers. The cultural centers,in turn became the source of science translators. The causes for the production and gathering of translators elaborate on an inseparability between translator distribution and regional cultures. The more diverse the cultures in an area,the more translators there will be in that area.
