摘　　要：Augus Graham(1919-91),also known as A.C.Graham,was a prolific writer and a profound scholar.His writings cover a wide range of topics including the philosophy of language,Daoism,the textual complexity of the Zhuangzi and Liezi,the Tang poetry,and the moral metaphysics of the two Cheng brothers.Moving comfortably between civilizations(Europe and China)and times(ancient and contemporary),Graham displays a deep-seated commitment to cross-cultural encounter that is hard to find today.
