摘　　要：本案的这座独栋住宅位于澳大利亚吉朗的港口附近,场地有着平缓的起伏。该建筑最大的特点就是它宽敞的悬挑式木格栅屋顶。建筑距墨尔本西南90km,场地南面的斜坡和西面现有的一排松树为它遮挡住了寒冷的西南风。与此同时,位于南半球的住宅朝向北侧的房间也就是朝向阳光的一侧,并且可以拥有开阔的视野来欣赏山谷的风光。场地占地面积为25ha,这种大小对澳大利亚这个国家而言十分普遍,场地四周围绕着大面积无遮挡的耕地和牧场。Nestling in the gently rolling landscape around the port of Geelong,Australia,this single-family house is distinguished by its broadly cantilevered timber-grid roof.The building.90 km south-west of Melbourne,is shielded from the cool south-west winds by the slope of the ground to the south and by an existing row of pine trees to the west.At the same time,the orientation of the house to the north in the southern hemisphere means a sunny aspect with an open view into the valley.The 25-hectare site-modest for Australian circumstances-is surrounded by extensive plots of bare arable and pasture land.
