摘　　要：伴随改革开放而诞生的北京联合大学历经四十多年的办学历史,从学科和专业结构的多次调整以适应北京城市发展的人才需要,到应用型大学在理论和实践方面的深入探索;从捉襟见肘的办学条件,到筚路蓝缕后成为北京市重点建设的应用型人才培养基地、北京市规模最大的高校之一;从36所大学分校的建立与融合,到以北京产业需求为导向的五大融合途径。如今,北京联合大学凝练出独特的精神品质:不负使命,勇于担当;自强不息,艰苦奋斗;改革创新,与时俱进。新时代,北京高等教育发展步入新阶段,学校紧紧抓住服务北京“四个中心”建设的重大机遇,坚持走内涵式发展道路,突出“城市型”的服务面向和“应用型”的办学定位,为北京建设国际一流的和谐宜居之都提供人才保障和智力支持。Beijing Union University,born with the reform and opening up,has a history of more than 40 years,from the adjustment of disciplines and professional structures for many times to meet the talent needs of Beijing’s urban development,to the in-depth exploration of application-oriented universities in theory and practice;from lacking the adequate conditions for running a school to becoming a key construction application-oriented talent training base,one of the largest universities in Beijing;from the establishment and integration of 36 University branches to the five major integration approaches guided by Beijing’s industrial demand.Nowadays,Beijing Union University has condensed its unique spiritual quality:to fulfill the mission and to be brave;to strive for self-reliance and hard work;to reform and innovate to keep pace with the times.Beginning a new era,the development of Beijing’s higher education has entered a new stage.The school seizes the major opportunity to serve the construction of the“four centers”in Beijing,adheres to the connotative development path,highlights the“city-based”service orientation and“application-oriented”positioning,and provides talent guarantee and intellectual support for Beijing to build a world-class harmonious and livable capital.
