摘 要:与传统仅仅从男女两性关系的视角解读小说不同,文章尝试用德勒兹的生成动物理论来探讨弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的作品《幕间》中人与动物共生的生态思想。小说通过描写人类对动物的压迫,揭示了人类中心主义下的物种歧视与性别歧视、阶级歧视和种族歧视的内在联系。作者通过一幕由动物做主角的历史剧演出,使主人公们经历了"生成动物"的状态,艺术地展现了人性与动物性之间的共性和流动性,解析了人与动物的二元对立。作品还表达了动物性的多元态思想,主人公们最终成为一系列人类动物,回归自然和生命的本真状态。《幕间》启示我们,人类在追求生存和发展的同时,不应忘记自身的动物性,人类只有与其它物种和谐共生,才有真正的未来。Based upon Deleuze’s theory about animals,this reading of Woolf’s Between the Acts,which looks beyond the traditional discussion of the estrangement between men and women,inquires about the symbiosis of animal and human’s lives in the novel.Having portrayed the suppression and violence of people imposing upon animals,Woolf reveals how the deteriorating interaction between humans and animals eventually leads to the crumbling of human relations and conflicts of nations.By designing an outdoor drama recounting England’s history yet starred by animals instead of human actors,the author enables her characters to experience the feelings of"becoming-animal",thus artistically displaying the similarities and possibilities of communication between human and animal’s lives.Besides,Woolf expresses the importance of incorporating animality into humanity by blurring the boundary between humans and animals.Her characters finally turn into"man-animals"who respect and embrace the genuineness of nature.The novel inspires people not to forget animality inherent in themselves when they pursue their own benefits and developments.As long as humans learn to get along with animals and nature,they could have a bright future.
