摘　　要：如今的中华民族已全面摆脱明末至民国之末,日趋落后、贫穷的困境,而走上了奋发图强、繁荣昌盛、民主和谐的新时代,并正在沿着锻造国民理性、科学、创新和民主法治社会的道路前进。人们常思考一个问题,即近代科学为什么起源于欧洲而不是中国?清末及民国时期伟大思想家严复认为,西方文明、民主、富强的根本原因就在于逻辑的发达。Today's Chinese nation has completely got rid of the late Ming Dynasty to the end of the Republic of China,increasingly backward,poor,and has embarked on a new era of hard work,prosperity,democracy and harmony,and is moving forward along the road of forging a national rational,scientific,innovative and democratic society ruled by law.People often think about why modern science originated in Europe rather than China.Yan Fu,a great thinker in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,believed that the fundamental reason for western civilization,democracy and prosperity lies in the development of logic.
