摘　　要：晚清“新小说”《文明小史》插图在上百幅写实性的插图中,通过增加绘画元素、选择特定场景、突出空间关系等多种绘画手段,广泛而全面地呈现出晚清上海、外省、域外场景三种不同的视觉图景。从小说插图史的角度来看,《文明小史》插图在表现内容、绘画宗旨、绘图技巧等方面也反映出晚清小说插图的时代新变。The“New Novels”A Short History of Civilization in the Late Qing Dynasty had hundreds of realistic illustrations.By adding painting elements,choosing specific scenes,highlighting spatial relations and other means of painting,the three visual pictures of Shanghai,other provinces and foreign scenes in the late Qing Dynasty were widely and comprehensively presented.From the perspective of illustration history,it also reflected the characteristics of the era of illustration in the late Qing Dynasty:performance content,painting purpose and drawing skills etc.
