情谊和嫉妒:《别名格雷斯》中的女性关系解读

摘　　要：加拿大女性作家玛格丽特·阿特伍德一向关注女性生活,其小说《别名格雷斯》描写了19世纪加拿大底层社会女性的生存状态,并且显现出女性间复杂而微妙的关系。在小说中,阿特伍德描述了女主人公格雷斯和另外两位女性之间的复杂关系,一是格雷斯和玛丽之间互相支持和帮助的姐妹情谊,二是格雷斯和南希嫉妒甚至伤害的女性关系,并从中揭示出阿特伍德心目中理想的女性关系即互相支持、互相帮助的姐妹情谊。因为只有这样的姐妹情谊,才能共同抵御父权社会给女性带来的痛苦和伤害,使女性最终幸存下来。Margaret Atwood,a Canadian female writer,has always paid close attention to women’s life. Her novel "Alias Grace" describes the living state of women in the bottom society of Canada in the 19 th century. It is a story reflecting the complicated and delicate relationship between women. In the novel,Atwood describes the complicated relationship between the heroine Grace and the other two women. One is the sisterhood between Grace and Mary who support and help each other. The other is the female relationship between Grace and Nancy who are jealous or even hurt each other. It reveals that Atwood’s ideal female relationship is the sisterhood which supports and helps each other because only such sisterhood can resist the pain and harm brought by patriarchal society,and make women survive finally.
