Objective:To explore the application value of bioabsorbable materials in the surgical treatment of internal malleolus fractures.Methods:Forty-eight patients with internal malleolus fractures who were admitted to hospital were enrolled. All patients underwent open reduction and internal fixation. The patients in the observation group were treated with bioabsorbable materials. The patients were fixed with metal materials. The patients in the two groups were followed up for half a year. The surgical indexes, recovery of internal hemorrhoid function and surgical complications were compared between the two groups. Results:After comparison, the fracture healing time, the walking time of the full-weight weight-bearing walking, the improvement of the AOFAS score and the foreign body reaction rate in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the internal fixation of internal malleolus fracture, the bioabsorbable material has the advantages of good biocompatibility, absorbable decomposition, small impact on the healing and shaping of the fracture site. The patient has quick recovery, less pain and improved internal hemorrhoid function, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
