摘 要:1.Introduction La Croix et al.(2019)attempt to interpret the depositional position of the Lower Cretaceous McMurray Formation"A Valley"deposits using the tidally-influenced Fraser River in British Columbia as a modern analogue.Analysis of a portion of seven cores from three study areas(South,Central, and North)positioned along a 145-km basinward transect suggests that observed sedimentological and ichnological trends are indicative of a time-equivalent fluvial-tidal transition(FTT)zone within the"A Valley".
