饶宗颐总纂《潮州志》为何未见方言志?——兼谈吴珏先生的潮州方言研究成就  

Why Wasn’t the Historical Annal of the Dialect Included in the Historical Annals of Chaozhou with Rao Zongyi as the Editor-in-Chief?--A Discussion on Mr.Wu Jue’s Research Achievements on the Chaozhou Dialect

摘　　要：根据文献资料和相关人员的回忆文字、口述资料,饶宗颐总纂之《潮州志》中应该有《方言志》,但《潮州志》分别于1949年、2005年、2011年出版,均未见《方言志》,其踪待寻,祈能重见天日。《方言志》作者为吴珏确定无疑,吴珏精通汉语音韵学和方言学,在语言声韵学研究上造诣甚高,现可见到的吴珏关于潮州方言研究的成果多在语音研究方面,关于词汇研究的较少,关于语法研究的尚未见到。According to the literature and the recollections of the people involved,the Historical Annals of Chaozhou with Rao Zongyi as the editor-in-chief should have included the Historical Annal of the Dialect,but the Historical Annals of Chaozhou was published in 1949,2005,and 2011,and the Historical Annal of the Dialect was never included,and its trace is still to be found and hopefully rediscovered one day.Wu Jue,the unquestionable author of the Historical Annal of the Dialect,was proficient in Chinese phonology and dialectology with great achievements in the research of language phonology.The existing achievements of Wu Jue’s research on the Chaozhou dialect are mostly in the area of phonetics,less in vocabulary,and not yet seen in grammar.
