摘　　要：本文详细分析了刘重德教授“信达切”三字原则的立论过程,阐述了他的翻译理论和实践中的辩证特色,指出认真学习和践行“中庸之道”是他的成功之道。刘重德教授为译界同仁后学树立了治学和为人的榜样。In this article,the dialectic features of Professor Liu Zhongde's theoretical research and practice of translation are expounded based on a detailed analysis of his theory about the Trinity Principle of Faithfulness,Expressiveness and Closeness.A conclusion is thus reached that his success,moral and academic,resulted from his long-time study and practice of Confucius'Doctrine of Mean.He set a fine example for both younger beginners and veteran translators.
