摘　　要：本文从"秤"字的造字谈起,详细介绍了杆秤的由来,阐述了秤在历史演变过程中的重要作用,进而挖掘出秤本身具有的计量工具特征外更为丰富的寓意和独特的文化内涵,赋予了秤深厚的历史文化和人文底蕴,反映了我国古代对世界科学和文化的伟大贡献。Starting from the creation of the word "scale", this paper introduces the origin of steelyard in detail, and expounds the important role of steelyard in the process of historical evolution, and dig out of scale itself has the characteristics of measuring tool more abundant meaning and unique cultural connotation, given the scale profound historical culture and the humanities background,reflects the ancient Chinese science and culture to the world’s great contribution.
