摘　　要：The Age of Innocence, the most-favored masterpiece by James Walden, sketches the real conflicting life in the upper class in New York in the nineteenth century. This essay is to explore the feminist thoughts of major female characters in the novel, holding that this is indeed an everlasting ode to feminism in light of the vivid female figures like May and Ellen.
