摘　　要：Written by the American journalist and novelist Upton Sinclair, The Jungle has been renowned for its impact on the reform of meat packing industry during the early 20th century in America, as well as its political message that advances socialism. While this essay analyzes this work from the perspective of artistic achievements, especially the description of both natural and so?cial environment, and its contribution to the overall theme.
