Objective To analyze the trend of scrapping rates of infectious diseases related to blood transfusion among unpaid blood donors in Zhengzhou, and explore measures to reduce related scrapping rates and waste of resources,so as to achieve long-term development of unpaid blood donation. Methods The data on the scraping rate of blood transfusion-related infectious diseases were collected during 2006-2017 among free blood donors in Zhengzhou area. The trend of scrap rate was analyzed by Origin 9.5 with a line chart. Results The prevalence of hepatitis B and hepatitis C among free blood donors in Zhengzhou area continued to be high and showed a fluctuating trend. The scraping rate of HIV keeps a low rate and exhibits decreasing trend. The scraping rate of syphilis increases in 2008-2017 first and then declines. Conclusion The overall trend of the prevalence of transfusion infectious diseases among free blood donors in Zhengzhou is relatively stable. The screening of transfusion infectious diseases still needs to be continuously strengthened to prevent the occurrence of infectious diseases caused by blood transfusion and ensure the safety of clinical blood.
