摘　　要：作为山东第一个开埠城市,烟台以其优越的地理位置、良好的生活环境,一度成为北方最大的基督教传播中心,成为欧美各个基督教教派在中国的传教中心。近代著名的西方传教士如狄考文、郭显德、倪维思、韦廉臣、戴德生、明恩溥、马茂兰等人或长期居住在这里,或将烟台作为主要活动据点。As the first city in Shandong that opened as a port,Yantai became the biggest center for the spreading of Christian让y in the north and the religious center for all schools of Christianity from Europe and the United States of America in China based on its advantageous geographical location and good living environment.Famous modern western missionaries such as Calvin Wilson Mateer,Hunter Corbett,John Livingstone Nevius,Alexander Williamson,James Hudson Taylor,Arthur Henderson Smith and James Mamullan either lived here for a long time or took Yantai as their major base.
