Objective To explore the different effects of computed tomography(CT) and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) in the clinical diagnosis of patients with posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome(PRES). Methods25 patients with PRES admitted in our hospital from January 2018 to October 2019 were selected as the subjects of study. After admission, they were diagnosed by CT scan and MRI respectively. The specific examination and diagnosis of the two groups were analyzed. Results There were more patients diagnosed and confirmed by MRI than by CT. There were 25 cases diagnosed by MRI and 23 cases diagnosed by CT, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05). 21 cases of patients’ symptom disappeared basically after 8 to 20 d of treatment. Lesions of patients diagnosed by CT were manifested as low-density, while the MRI as high-signal. Conclusion For the diagnosis of patients with PRES, the effect of MRI is better than that of CT scan, which can be used as the first choice of such kind of patients.
