摘　　要：经历了40年的快速城市化进程,中国从传统农业社会转变为现代城市社会,从欠发达国家转变为(接近)发达的国家。受精明投资者委托,并由有一定创意的建筑师和工程师建造的混凝土建筑遍布中国各地,这些建筑支配着中国的城市景观。正是这条混凝土巨龙塑造了中国在政治愿景和市场经济主导下进行城市化的成功形象。文章简要展现了中国城市在过去40年间发展所取得的成就,同时提出城市规划者在未来几十年里必须面对的诸多挑战。未来中国城市化的速度将放缓,城市修补将主导中国未来的城市发展战略,并影响地方政策和相关行业。修补混凝土巨龙是一个学习的过程。它将迫使地方政府重新思考城市发展策略,重点关注发展的质量和大众的感受,而不是数量。大学也需要重新思考教育方法,让优质的城市规划师应对即将到来的挑战。最后简要阐述了在中国使用欧洲那样人性化修补城市方法的可能性。Four decades of rapid urbanization have transformed China from a rural to an urban society,from an underdeveloped to a developed country. All over the China concrete structures, commissioned by smart investors and built by more or less creative architects and engineers dominate the cityscapes of Chinese cities. It is the concrete dragon who is characterizing China’s success story of urbanization led by political ambitions and market rationales. The essay briefly praises the achievements of urban development during the past four decades, though describes the many challenges, urban planners will have to face in the decades ahead. The author presumes that urbanization will slow down and repair activities will dominate future urban development strategies in China. It will dominate local governments and the profession.Repairing the concrete dragon is a learning project. It will force local governments to review their urban development policies, replacing quantity by quality and people’s concerns. It will also force universities to review their approaches to qualify urban planners for forthcoming challenges. The paper ends with some brief notes, whether China can learn from Europe when repairing their cities with a human face.
