《呼啸山庄》的法律解读:以夫妻一体原则为切入点

摘　　要：夫妻一体原则在中世纪被纳入英国普通法,并成为英国法律的重要组成部分,其影响一直延续到19世纪中叶。正因为如此,该原则也成为了许多英国作家尤其是女性作家创作的主题。文章以夫妻一体原则为切入点,对艾米莉·勃朗特的长篇小说《呼啸山庄》进行了深刻分析,阐明了该原则对小说主人公命运的负面影响和危害,揭示了作家对推动英国法律改革和女性权益保护的积极贡献。Coverture Scheme is a very important part of British law,which was taken into British common law in the Middle Ages.Until the middle of the 19th century,Coverture Scheme was still very important in British common law,which had exerted great influence on British society.Coverture Scheme had always been a very important theme in the works of the British writers,especially the female writers.This paper made a detailed analysis of the novel Wuthering Heights from the perspective of Coverture Scheme,exposed its negative influence and harm to the protagonists in the novel,and showed the writer’s positive contribution to British legal reform and the protection of women’s rights and interests.
