英语篇章语言学BFP原则视角下的“譬喻构式句”解读——以《遗教三经》为例探讨其熏习功能的实现

摘　　要：英语篇章语法研究引入了“前景”和“后景”两个概念,“后景”承载着已知信息,而“前景”则承载着新信息,在“譬喻构式句”的言语表达中,存在着由“后景信息”向“前景信息”推进的BFP原则,即Background-to-Foreground Procession。基于此原则探讨《遗教三经》中“譬喻构式句”熏习功能的实现。《遗教三经》中的“譬喻构式句”的本体和喻体均运用“事件”来陈述。“事件”的主题和述题分别承载已知信息和新信息,在由已知信息向新信息动态传递过程中,使信众了解到新信息的巨大影响,从而解悟佛理佛法;“事件”的情景关系也附着在复句中,随着后景向前景的推进,“最前景”部分蕴含的信息对信众发挥了深刻而深远的警示意义。In the study of English discourse grammar,the two concepts of“foreground”and“background”are introduced.The“background”carries known information,while the“foreground”carries new information.In the verbal expression of“analogy construction sentence”,there is the BFP(Background-to-Foreground Procession)principle from background information to foreground information.Based on this principle,this paper discussed the realization of the edification function of“analogy construction sentence”in Three Sutras of Buddha‘s Last Bequest.Both the tenor and the vehicle of the“analogy construction sentence”are stated by the“event”in the sutras.The theme and rheme of the“event”carry the known information and the new information respectively.In the process of dynamic transmission from the known information to the new information,the Buddhists can understand the great influence of the new information and thus comprehend the Buddhism and Dharma.The situational relationship of the“event”is also attached to the complex sentences.With the advancing of the background to the foreground,the information contained in the front part of the foreground can have profound and far-reaching warning significance to the Buddhists.
