摘 要:随着互联网和信息技术的快速发展,传统的石英光纤网络难以处理大量的数据任务,因此,基于塑料光纤(POF)的数据通信系统被提出以应对不断增长的用户需求。提出了一个基于POF的数据通信系统仿真框架,该框架能够评估由几种无源和有源组件(包括光源、光检测器、光纤和连接器)构建的具有不同布局的塑料光纤系统的性能。通过仿真验证了所提系统的性能,展示了基本的数据传输功能,同时还给出了误码率与功率之间的关系,从而证实了仿真框架的强大功能。此外,通过与传统的光纤通信链路相比较,验证了所提系统在短距离数据通信中有着优越的表现,完全满足工业需求。With the rapid development of the Internet and information technology,the traditional quartz optical fiber network is difficult to handle a large number of data tasks.Therefore,a data communication system based on plastic optical fiber(POF)has been proposed to meet the growing demand of users.This paper presents a POF-based data communication system simulation framework that can evaluate the performance of plastic optical fiber systems with different layouts constructed from several passive and active components,including light sources,light detectors,optical fibers,and connectors.This paper verifies the performance of the proposed system through simulation,shows the basic data transmission functions,and also gives the relationship between bit error rate and power,thus confirming the powerful function of the simulation framework.In addition,by comparing with the traditional optical fiber communication link,it is verified that the proposed system has superior performance in short-distance data communication and fully meets the needs of industry.
