金庸在津“祖业”考  

A Textual Study of Jin Yong’s Ancestral Property in Tianjin

摘　　要：金庸虽祖籍浙江海宁,但他在不同场合曾讲到"查家在天津有一份祖业",并曾亲临天津进行考察。这份"祖业",便是清前中期名冠津门的水西庄,其主人则是被金庸称为"先人"的查日乾、查为仁父子及其在清代的后裔。通过对华夏查姓源流的梳理,可明确查姓至北宋时,已形成"海宁查氏"与"临川查氏"两大分支。明万历十八年(1590),临川一支北迁顺天宛平,称为"北查";海宁一支仍世居江南,遂成"南查"。此后,"北查"分支移居天津,到了清代查日乾、查为仁父子,兴建了津门园林之冠水西庄。据此考辨可以得出结论,"北查"与"南查"实乃"同宗不同祖",天津水西庄作为"北查"产业,与金庸家族的海宁"南查"实不相干。虽然"南查"史上亦有分支流寓津门,但其与在津建水西庄的"北查"仍无纵向上的直属关系。金庸选择在天津出版内地首部作品、接受南开大学聘请、首部电视剧选择在天津拍摄等,则与他对"北查"的眷念和文化归属感有关。Although Jin Yong was born in Haining,Zhejiang Province,he said on different occasions that "Zha Family has an ancestral property in Tianjin" and he even visited Tianjin personally.This "ancestral property" is the Shuixi Manor which was well known in Tianjin in early and middle Qing Dynasty.Its owner was Zha Riqian and Zha Weiren and their descendants called ancestors by Jin Yong.By combing the sources of Chinese family names,it is clear that by the time of Northern Song Dynasty,two branches of Zha Family had been formed:Zha family in Haining and Zha family in Linchuan.In 1590,the Linchuan branch moved northward to Wanping,Shuntian Prefecture,called Northern Zha Family,and the Haining branch still lived in the south of the Yangtze River and became Southern Zha Family.Since then,a branch of Northern Zha moved to Tianjin,and in Qing Dynasty,Zha Riqian and Zha Weiren,the father and the son,built Shui Xi Manor,which was the best among the gardens in Tianjin.From this textual research,it can be concluded that Northern Zha and Southern Zha are different ancestors of the same clan.Shuixi Manor in Tianjin has nothing to do with Southern Zha in Haining.Some branch of Southern Zha also moved to Tianjin,but there was no direct longitudinal relation with Northern Zha in Shuixi Manor in Tianjin.The facts that Jin Yong chose to publish his first work in Tianjin,accepted the employment of Nankai University and had the first TV series shot in Tianjin are related to his concern for Northern Zha and his sense of cultural belonging.
