摘　　要：政治学形式模型是通过提炼现实政治中的重要元素进行理论构建和逻辑推演的数理建模方法,主要包括基于社会选择理论、博弈论和委托代理理论的模型。在解读和参考运用形式建模方法进行美国政治研究的学术论著时,需要辨析模型结论所依赖的制度和情境假设。美国政治研究中形式建模的方法,既推动了美国学术界对其政治实践的理论构建,有助于总结经验,识别问题根源;也与其他研究方法一样,有其自身的局限性。形式建模只有与经验实证研究密切结合,彼此互动,才能保持其学术生命力。Formal modeling in political science is a useful method for theory building and logic derivation based on organizing important elements in real politics.It mainly includes social choice theory,game theory and agency theory.When interpreting and using the research results about American politics based on formal modeling,it is always important to clarify the institutional environments and assumptions of the model.Formal modeling is helpful for theory construction in the study of American politics.
