摘　　要：Biber的多维分析法通过识别语言特征和解析功能维度进行语域分析,其不足之处在于分析语域的语言特征均为语法特征。本研究以语域专门隐喻的语义特征(源域)和语法特征(词性)为变量,设计并运用基于隐喻使用的多维分析法。结果表明,隐喻使用可以是语域的区别性特征,此方法不仅如Biber多维分析法一样能分析出观察语料的语域类型和主要语域特征,还能补充Biber的多维分析法,即揭示语域交际意图的具体内容;此方法还可以解析观察语料的基于隐喻使用的3个维度,说明观察语料的隐喻使用之间的关系及隐喻使用的基本结构。Biber’s multi-dimensional analysis conducts register analysis through identifying linguistic features and functional dimensions, but all the identified linguistic features are grammatical ones. In this paper metaphor-based multi-dimensional analysis is designed based on semantic(source domain) and grammatical features(part of speech) of genre-specific metaphor use. It is found that this approach can reveal not only the register type and its register features of the observed corpus as Biber’s approach but also the detailed communicative purposes of the register. Moreover, this approach finds three dimensions to reveal the relationship and structure of metaphor use and of the observed corpus.
