摘　　要：The detention in Vancouver of Meng Wanzhou during a transit stop as from December 1,2018,raises a wide range of questions,many of a serious legal nature.My paper proposes to tease them out for examination,with a view to discovering the ultimate motive behind the U.S.initiative on Meng,placing her and her giant company,Huawei,on public trial as a result.
