摘　　要：This article is aimed at introducing the history and iconography of a precious xylograph printed Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines in Tibetan with exquisite illustrations.These illustrations depict major historical figures and different transmission lineages in Indian and Tibetan Buddhist history.Such significant materials and beautiful images represent the peak of the history of Tibetan books.The illustrations of this Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines had been published twice in the past.In 1986,Indian scholar Lokash Chandra first published these illustrations in a collection of manuscripts of Tibet and gave an introduction on their subject matter.
