Brief Report on the Archaeological Survey of Pre-Qin Sites In the Middle Reaches of Jialing River(Langzhong-Yilong Section)

摘　　要：2018年1月至2018年4月,四川省文物考古研究院等单位对嘉陵江中游(阆中至仪陇段)进行了考古调查,调查共发现先秦遗址12处,扩充了嘉陵江流域先秦遗址的内涵,为进一步探讨该区域先秦遗存的分布状况、考古学文化面貌及聚落形态等提供了新的线索。The Jialing River originates from the Dai Wang Mountain at the northern slope of the Qinling Mountains in Fengxian County,Shaanxi Province.With a total length of 1,345 km,it is a level 1 tributary of the Yangtze River and a channel connecting the Chengdu Plain and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River west of the Three Gorges,as well as connecting Hubei and Shaanxi through the upper reaches of the Han River(Hanshui).The connections suggest the extreme importance of the Jialing River valley for us to understand the interactions of Pre-Qin cultures throughout the Sichuan region.However,the lack of archaeological work goes against in-depth studies in this region.From January to April 2018,Sichuan Province Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and other institutions jointly conducted archaeological surveys in the middle reaches of the Jialing River(Langzhong-Yilong section),finding 12 Pre-Qin sites in total.These Pre-Qin sites,in terms of unearthed artifacts,represent the periods of late Neolithic,Shang&Western Zhou and Eastern Zhou respectively.In terms of distribution,they were mainly located on the secondary terraces of the Jialing River,backed by mountains and facing the water,mostly on the side overlooking the Jialing River.In some of the sites,the upper part of ShangZhou cultural layer is silt sand,indicating that a catastrophic flood took place in this area during the Shang-Zhou period,forcing the communities living there to move to other places.Judged by the scale,most of the sites only covered small areas,ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of square meters.Mega sites covering over 1 million square meters are only found in urban areas of Langzhong and Pengchengba.The Pengchengba site proves to be a central settlement during the Shang-Zhou period with the bronze Ge with tiger motif unearthed there,while the bronze Zhong,Ding and vessel bases discovered at the Lanjiaba site were dated to the Eastern Zhou period,indicating that it had become the central settlement of the region at th
