As a female writer, the Canadian writer Margaret Atwood has created a lot of different kinds of female characters in her novels. It can be seen that she not only focuses on the relationships between men and women, but also pays much attention to the complicated relationships between different female characters. This paper chose to analyze the different relationships between female characters in Atwood's three novels—Cat's Eye;Alias Grace; The Robber Bride.Through the analysis,it can be summarized that in The Cat's Eye,the relationships between female characters are hurting and violent;in Alias Grace, jealousy and sisterhood exist side by side between female characters;while in The Robber Bride, the relationships are promoting each other's awakening and growth.By analyzing the different relationships between female characters,it can be concluded that Atwood advocates that women should understand and support each other, boosting each other's awakening and growth to form women alliance to fight against the persecution of patriarchy.Only by doing this, can women finally win liberation and realize sexual equality.
