桑塔格小说《在美国》中的“歌剧皇后”主题研究

摘　　要：桑塔格第四部长篇小说《在美国》中的素材和轶事取材于作家对传记文学学者莫杰斯卡和显克维奇的研究,在此基础上,作者改动和杜撰出更为生动和广阔的历史舞台画卷,以新历史传记的形式重新演绎了波兰"舞台皇后"移民美国以后从荒野上的艺术灵修走向舞台上的精神复苏的艺术旅程。本文紧紧围绕着桑塔格这部半自传作品里的"歌剧皇后"的主题设置,从艺术家之修炼、艺术家之奥秘、艺术家之瓶颈、艺术家之职责这四个方面,展现了自然对治疗女歌唱家忧郁情绪的外化作用、性爱对启迪女歌唱家灵泉喷涌的内化作用、经营对砥砺女歌唱家自强意志力的杠杆作用、创新对焕发女歌唱家艺术活力的激发作用。文章试图率先回答桑塔格借助玛琳娜这个自我化境里的理想自我,抒发了什么样的艺术信念,特别是她对民族性和创新性在她身上的艺魂流转的境界问题作出了什么样的解答。Materials and anecdotes in In America,Susan Sontag’s fourth full-length novel,are based on her research on biography scholars Modjeska and Henryk Sienkiewicz.Sontag changes and fabricates a livelier and broader scenario of the historical stage in the form of a new historical biography,which re-enacts the artistic journey of the Polish“Opera Queen”from spiritual art in the wilderness to spiritual revival on stage.Revolving around the theme setting in“Opera Queen”,Sontag’s semi-autobiography,this paper examines four perspectives in terms of the artist’s cultivation,mystery,bottleneck and responsibility.Sontag displays the externalization of nature in treating the female vocalist’s melancholy,the internalization of sexual love in triggering her inspiration,the leveraging role of management operation in strengthening her willpower,and the stimulating function of innovation in excavating her vitality.This paper in the first place depicts Sontag’s artistic conception through her description of an ideal self in Marina.Then it elaborates the role of nationality and innovation in her realm of artistic self-transformation.
