洋务时期天津的西书流通

摘　　要：洋务运动的兴起,为西学在晚清天津的传播提供了条件。除学堂使用洋文西书外,上海机器局等编译的西学书籍,在天津洋务机构中普遍流通。官员与洋务幕僚、学堂师生及技术人士,是此类书籍主要的阅读者。在洋务文化氛围中,天津西学书籍市场逐渐形成,以官书局、格致书室和文美斋为代表,官方、教会和民间书肆、书坊共同构成了天津的西书流通网络。西书在天津的扩散,体现了当地士人读书风气的变动,是晚清沿海都市知识变迁的一个缩影。With the rise of Westernization Movement,western learning books spread in Tianjin in the late Qing Dynasty.Besides the foreign language textbooks adopted in the new style schools,western knowledge books translated by Shanghai Machinery Bureau were circulated in Tianjin foreign affairs institutions.Officials,staff,teachers,students and technicians were the main readers of these books.Under the atmosphere of westernization,the new learning books market in Tianjin gradually formed.With the Guanshuju(Official Book Institution),Gezhi Shushi(The Chinese Scientific Book Depot)and Wenmeizhai Bookstore as representatives,the book shops run by the officials,missionaries and businessmen constituted a network for these books circulation in Tianjin.The spread of new books reflected the change of local scholars’reading interesting,which was a microcosm of the knowledge change of coastal cities in the late Qing Dynasty.
