Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)and activated carbon powder was used as substrate to fabricate a porous sponge adsorbent with activated carbon(PSA-AC)by sugar leaching-dissolution method. Its mechanical property, porosity and hydrophilia were optimized to make a PSA-AC with stability, adsorption and recyclability. To research the adsorption capability of this adsorbent, the effect of p H,the contact time, initial Pb^2+content,and competitive adsorption on Pb2+adsorption performance by PSA-AC was studied. The results showed that, the optimum pH was 4.0~5.0,adsorption equilibrium was realized after 15 h for Pb^2+adsorption by PSA-AC,the adsorption kinetic process followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation, and the adsorption isotherm process fitted Langmuir monomolecular layer adsorption model, and the preferential adsorption existed in the presence of multiple types of heavy metals. In comparison with traditional active carbon adsorbents, the PSA-AC has advantages of simple preparation, easy operation and good recycling.
