品川久太郎日本海军省留华学生身份考  

A Study on Shinagawa Kyutaro’s Identity as the Oversea Student Studying abroad in China Sent by Japanese Ministry of Navy

摘　　要：近代以降,日本政府各部门出于培养汉语翻译人才等目的,对华派遣了留学生。不过,由于资料阙如及资料记述漏误、牴牾等问题,学界对这些日本"留华学生"的人员构成等问题尚缺乏深入研究。如《对支回顾录》《续对支回顾录》对留华学生的多处记述都存在问题,导致学界对其身份认定存在困难。不过,对留学生身份的考证是研究的基础和第一要务。本文对品川久太郎日本海军省留华学生身份的考证,便涉及史料记述相互牴牾的问题。其实,档案记载不可盲信,品川的留华学生身份或只停留在纸面,不过是其为变通应对征兵问题,继续在华工作而寻找的借口。所以,他并非严格意义上海军省派遣来华的留学生。总之,史料纷杂且相互牴牾,如何抽丝剥茧,不至于治丝益棼,仍是史学研究的基本功。研究者需在挖掘史料的同时,着力甄别考订,多方求证,方可接近历史的真实。The departments of Japanese central government have sent overseas students to China for the purpose of training Chinese translators,and so on in modern times.However,due to the lack of data,as well as the inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the records,those overseas students,such as personnel composition,has not been conducted in-depth studies yet.For instance,there are many problems in the Taishikaikoroku(The Memoirs of China)and the Zoku Taishikaikoroku(A Sequel to the Memoirs of China),which lead to difficulties in identifying their identities,and shows the key role of the research on the identity.In this paper,Shinagawa Kyutaro’s identity as the oversea student studying abroad in China sent by Japanese Ministry of Navy involves the contradiction between the historical records.In fact,Shinagawa Kyutaro’s identity as the oversea student may only remain on paper,which is just an excuse for him to continue to work in China in order to cope with the conscription problem flexibly.Therefore,strictly speaking,he should not be viewed as the oversea student sent by Japanese Ministry of Navy.In a word,the historical materials are complex and contradict each other.In order to get close to the truth of history,researchers should not only excavate the historical data,but also make efforts to identify and verify them.
